SLM/SLG series brushless servo motor

Series SLM ExlarSLM and SLX brushless servo motor technology from Exlar® provides the high torque and small package size. Available in 60 to 180 mm frame sizes with 1, 2, or 3 stack lengths in 8 pole configuration, these compact motors pack a powerful punch

The innovative T-LAM™ segmented lamination stator design increases power without increasing size. Each segment contains individual phase wiring for maximum motor performance. Robust insulation, high coercive strength magnets, and complete thermal potting are integrated to create a more powerful and efficient motor. The design yields 35 to 70% more torque from the same size package.

If your application requires greater torque and less speed than the SLM base unit provides, the SLG is available with an integral servo grade planetary gear reducer. Gear ratios of 4:1 to 100:1 allow the power of SLG to be applied over a broad range of torque requirements.

Rated torque output of SLG geared actuator is calculated by multiplication of selected motor’s rated torque with indicated ratios of each size SLG gearmotor and efficiency. It is possible to select a configuration of the motor and gear ratio such that exceeds actuator’s mechanical torque limit. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the settings of the system do not allow these values to be exceeded.
